Today I was reminded of The Persuaders, a show that I loved as a child, a show that run from 1970 to 1971. Back then (not in the 70s; when I was watching the re-runs) I didn't know what shipping what yet, but I was very invested in the relationship of the two main characters Danny and Brett.
I looked it up on ao3 just for fun. There are like 95 fics and people actually ship Danny and Brett. There are also a lot of crossovers with similar shows like The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and I'm really excited about this.
