XD It’s more tragic if they haven’t confessed, or WWX even hasn’t yet realised his full feelings – he’d have a lot of time to think about it, how he would love to have Lan Zhan there, because he’s his favourite person, and then slowly realise, “Ah shit I’m in love with him, huh? But I’m stuck on Mars so I’ll never be able to tell him.”
And LWJ would be so tragic, he’s been in love with WWX for years and now he’s dead and LWJ wasn’t even able to tell him! Until they get the message that, “Uhm sorry, but… looks like WWX isn’t dead after all. Though you have no way of getting him now…” And LWJ would be feral! But there’s the responsibility for their ship too, but if there’s a possibility to rescue WWX…
And it could parallel how LWJ and JC worked together through Sunshot searching for WWX – they don’t really like each other, but they can be civil, have been civil – and now they’ve got a common goal that suddenly makes them work quite well together.
