I recently read a cozy crime in German and....so many dialogue tags. Why are people using so many dialogue tags? It was weird, it pulled me completely out of it. I'm not sure if it was just this book or if it's a German problem.
I'm not sure Glied is....better, actually. My friend said that about Schwanz in relation to fanfic (for Tatort fandom, how we got there I'm still not sure), so in a more colloquial setting but. I'm not sure which is better. Both are bad, imo. It's just so...awkward.
